Egyptian Sports Minister announces details of ninth Zayed Charity Marathon

Cairo [Egypt], October 31: Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt, announced details of the ninth edition of the Zayed Charity Marathon, which is scheduled to take place in the New Administrative Capital on 27th December in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and TriFactory. The proceeds will support Hospital 57357.
During a press conference held today, attended by Lieutenant General Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Zayed Charity Marathon, the Minister stated that the marathon is not just a sporting event but a noble message embodying the values of humanitarian solidarity, charitable work, and the strengthening of brotherly ties between peoples.
He added that the marathon reflects the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in building healthier and happier communities.
He highlighted that this major sporting and humanitarian event, the Zayed Charity Marathon, underscores the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between Egypt and the UAE, under the patronage and support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
For his part, Lieutenant General Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi thanked all partners and charitable organisations supporting the race, including the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Emirates Red Crescent, Fazaa, and the Al Habtoor Group, along with all contributing entities.
On this occasion, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi announced an increase in this year's prizes to 20 million Egyptian pounds and 400 Umrah trips.
