Pope Francis' health is out of danger

Vatican City, March 11: Early morning of March 11 (Vietnam time), the Holy See Press Office announced that Pope Francis' health condition is improving and doctors no longer fear for his life.
The latest statement on Pope Francis ' health from the Vatican confirms doctors have changed their opinion on the prognosis of the head of the universal church.
"The Holy Father's clinical condition continues to be stable," AFP quoted a statement from the Vatican.
"The improvements noted in the past few days continue to be stable, confirmed by the results of blood tests, clinical objectivity and good response to pharmacological therapy. For these reasons, today the doctors decided to lift the opinion that the prognosis was not possible," according to the Vatican.
The Holy See Press Office also added that due to the complex clinical condition and the serious inflammation at the time of admission, it is necessary to continue pharmacological therapy for several more days.
That means once the treatment is complete, Pope Francis could be discharged from the hospital.
A Vatican source said on March 10 that it was still too early to talk about the possibility of the Pope returning to his residence in Santa Marta, and that he was still suffering from pneumonia
Francis, who is set to celebrate the 12th anniversary of his election as pope on March 13, has not been seen in public since being hospitalized on February 14.
AFP quoted doctors not involved in the treatment as predicting that the Pope will likely need many days to recover due to his old age and other health problems.
Known to work himself to exhaustion, Pope Francis continued to work while hospitalized.
Most recently, on March 9, he had his third meeting at the hospital with Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin.
