Jaipur (Rajasthan) September 12 (ANI): Addressing the 11th meeting of the State Wildlife Board through video conferencing, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that conservation of forests and wildlife is the priority of the state government. The state government will not take any kind of laxity in this direction. CM emphasised that after this meeting, efforts will be made in a positive manner keeping in mind the basic spirit of conservation of wildlife by making changes in the methodology with new thinking. The CM underlined that today the whole world is struggling with the problem of environmental pollution. We have an obligation to make a dedicated effort to conserve forests and protect wildlife. He said that the government will take necessary steps to maintain ecological balance. CM Gehlot also sought the efforts being made by the forest department to conserve the endangered species like Godawan, Kharmor, Vulture and other wildlife species. He said that cooperation of local people should be taken in conservation of wildlife. During the meeting, the CM said that the meeting of the State Wildlife Board should be held at least twice a year so that appropriate steps can be taken for the development of forests and wildlife conservation based on the suggestions of members and experts.
